Regenerative medicine explores how biological processes can be used to support tissue repair and regeneration.
This practice-oriented course focuses on APCs – Autologous Platelet Concentrates. Participants will gain insight into their biological principles, different preparation methods and potential applications within regenerative aesthetic medicine.
This course is intended exclusively for physicians and nurses holding a valid professional qualification and with an interest in regenerative aesthetic medicine.

The different steps of the preparation process will be explained, including:

The scientific theory is complemented by practical preparation exercises.
Depending on the final programme, a live clinical demonstration by the physician may also be included. The patient will be treated exclusively by the physician.

Important Legal and Professional Provisions
Professional Competence
Participation in this course does not extend a participant’s legal scope of practice and does not, in itself, qualify a participant to perform medical procedures independently.
For procedures performed exclusively for aesthetic purposes, the administration of APCs may not be delegated to a nurse. Such treatment may only be performed by a physician who is legally authorised and demonstrably competent to carry out the procedure under the applicable Belgian legislation.
Nurses may only perform activities that fall within their legal scope of practice and for which they are appropriately trained and competent. Where legally required, these activities must be performed under the prescription, instruction or supervision of an authorised physician.
Patient selection, diagnosis, medical indication and choice of treatment remain the responsibility of the authorised treating physician.
Preparation Methods and Materials
During the practical course, only materials and systems that have been lawfully placed on the market and, where applicable, bear the required CE marking will be used.

The inclusion or discussion of a particular preparation or technique during the course does not imply that it is legally authorised, scientifically supported or clinically appropriate for every possible indication.
Before applying any protocol in clinical practice, each participant must verify the applicable legislation, available scientific evidence, intended purpose and instructions for use of the products and systems concerned.
Scientific Evidence and Expected Outcomes
The strength of the available scientific evidence, applicable protocols and expected outcomes may vary depending on:

The course content is based on available scientific literature and relevant manufacturer documentation. Scientific evidence and regulatory status may differ according to the preparation method and clinical indication.
Safety and Risks
APCs and other autologous blood-derived preparations may contain platelets, fibrin and bioactive signalling molecules involved in biological tissue-repair processes.
Their autologous origin may reduce certain immunological or foreign-body reactions compared with non-autologous materials. However, it does not eliminate the risks associated with blood collection, preparation, contamination, injection or other medical procedures.
Live Clinical Demonstration
If a live clinical demonstration is organised, the patient will be treated exclusively by the physician.

The patient must provide separate written consent in advance for both the treatment and the presence of course participants.
All participants are bound by confidentiality. Photography, video recording and audio recording are prohibited unless the patient has provided separate, explicit written consent in advance.
Practical Procedures
Venous blood collection and other practical procedures may only be performed by participants who are legally authorised, appropriately trained and demonstrably competent to perform them.
All practical exercises will be organised within each participant’s legal scope of practice.
Role of Allmedics
Allmedics organises and provides professional education. Allmedics does not make diagnoses, provide patient-specific medical advice or act as the treating healthcare provider.
Any medical treatment performed during a live demonstration takes place exclusively under the professional responsibility of the physician.

Responsibilities of Participants
Each participant remains responsible for:
When treating patients in their own clinical practice, physicians remain responsible for patient selection, diagnosis, medical indication, informed consent, documentation, treatment, aftercare and follow-up.
Nurses remain responsible for ensuring that every activity they perform falls within their legal professional competence and is carried out under the legally required conditions.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be submitted to Allmedics in writing by email. The date on which Allmedics receives the cancellation will be considered the official cancellation date.
A suitable replacement participant may take the original participant’s place free of charge, subject to prior written approval by Allmedics and verification of the replacement participant’s professional qualification.
If Allmedics cancels the course, participants may choose between a full refund of the course fee already paid or participation on a rescheduled course date.
If the course must be postponed due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Allmedics, a new date will be proposed as soon as possible.
These provisions apply without prejudice to any mandatory statutory withdrawal or consumer rights that may apply.
